Let's see if we can help him out!
That’s FOUR! in golf terms, folks! The United States Golf Association in conjunction with Golf Digest recently held a contest asking amateur golfers to write a six word essay associating their career with their love of golf. The winner will play with three big-name celebrities including Michael Jordan during the U.S. Open Celebrity Pro-Am at the Black Course at Bethpage State Park in Farmingdale, New York in May, 2009. The goal for pro-am teams is to break a team score of 100 for a round (Tiger Woods says it can’t be done)... The event will be covered by NBC and replayed just prior to the final round of the Open.
Phoenix Police Lieutenant Larry Giebelhausen needs your support. He made the final four cut out of more than 73,500 contestants, coming up with the slogan “I’m a cop, I’ll shoot low!” Giebelhausen is up against two medical doctors and a fire chief – all from the east coast. Giebelhausen said, "I'm up against a few East Coast guys, so hopefully everyone west of the Mississippi will vote for me."
VOTE FOR LARRY! Cast your vote today and every day until May 1, 2009! (Please note: only one vote per day per email address. If you have more than one email address, you can use each one to cast a daily vote.) A vote for Larry is a vote for Phoenix! Don’t wait, do it now!
