Quote: 31 Flavors of Home Come to Troops in Iraq
DALLAS – The Army & Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) opened its first Baskin-Robbins in Operation Iraqi Freedom, May 18, 2005 (photos available upon request). The ice cream specialty store at LSA Anaconda, located in AAFES’ only 35 mm movie theater in Iraq, is a welcome treat to service members and makes going to the movies in a war zone feel just a little more like home. I have some concerns over those who start a paragraph with their time spent oversea. I had more than one officer under my command who spent time in the Mideast and were the last to talk about it or throw it out in the course of a normal conversation.
So, to end this pissing match, can I have a scoop of vanilla? __________________ R. Scalzo

| | | Reply with quote | #20 | Back on topic, does anyone have any advice regarding the personality portion of the exam (agree, disagree section)? I have taken a few police tests always answering with agree/disagree and rarely with strongly agree/disagree and I have scored low on the written portions and I know it was that because the situational/judgmental is way too easy to fail so I need pointers on how to answer the agree/disagree questions. Any books or anything besides Bernstein?
Speaking of Bernstein, is it worthwhile taking their course? |

I know for my class atleast, a bunch of troops that went into the academy took bertnstien type classes. So its possible that it does help, I feel that it helped me a little bit mostly for the personality questions which get tricky when they ask you the same question 5 times in different wording. I went to- http://policeexams.com/. its in bloomfield. Although when we passed the test they didnt tell you what your score was, only if you failed it. SO im not sure exactly what I did score on each part of the test.
NASA probably graduated a long time before me and they let them know how they scored, which is good so that you know how you did on each portion of the test. Good luck |

Reply with quote | #28 | That was hysterical... Yes, I have heard that the Bernstein class is the best to take, and I will be taking it once it is offered after the announcement. There is also another course I heard was good is Delbagno (spelling?), which I may take if something goes wrong with me taking the Bernstein... Also latest I heard from recruiting is they want the announcement up as early as November 1, up by TurkeyDay, and no later than Christmas. Its a large time frame, but I hear the beta testing of the online app is going well, so I would guess no later than Thanksgiving.
Good luck to all __________________ No retreat, baby, no surrender. |
