NJBEACHGIRL you sound like us. We are receiving like crazy, i currently have 127 on my caseload. rediculous. Some of these people dont even max out until 2040. |

I work in Delaware as a Probation & Parole Officer. I have 127 on my caseload, of that about 40 are Parolees. Its kind of sad when you meet a lifer and realize that you will supervise him, at least, until you retire or he violates or dies. |

Oh...ok....sorry I thought you were in NJ....here probation is separate. They are not law enforcement. Most of our guys complete their probation sentence, and then roll over to us for life...and other than changing case loads periodically, you are stuck with them for a very long time! I think I will start to laugh if I see the young guys now, having grand kids later on..... |

yea, i know probation and parole are separate in NJ. I dunno why they have not moved under DOC. The probationers are just as dangerous as the Parolees. I wouldd never do this job without carrying. |
