Just curious to see what everyone has (if at all) while on duty. I'm looking input as I'm on the market for one myself. At my dept, we use the Remington 870 which I happen to like, but again I'm looking for something different. Any feedback is appreciated. |

Mossberg 590A1 is a solid shotgun.

cant go wrong with either a remington or mossberg, both solid shotguns... i personally like the 870 cuz it is wat my dept uses and wat i was taught on. mossbergs are a bit cheaper in price but still a good shotgun

In my opinion you cannot go wrong with an 870. Add to that that places like Buds sell departmental turnins at REALLY cheap prices and you have total win. We had 870's for the first 12 years or so in my department, then traded them all in for Mossberg 590's. Mossy's arent BAD i just dont like them as much as the Remington. Another possibility if you can find one is an old Ithaca Model 37. They're out there and you can find them used at great prices as well, AND they're probably the BEST police Shotgun ever issued. |
